Wind Turbine Bases

Helix Micro Rebar was utilised in a major Australian wind turbine project. Helix was used to replace N24 bar at 140mm each way for shrinkage control. Helix provided a perfect finish for the turbine bases with no sign of cracking at all; a hard ask on a base such as this. The contractor and design Engineer were very happy with the performance of Helix and work has begun on designs where Helix Micro Rebar will replace the structural steel in the base for wind turbines after the great success of this project.
