Warehouse Slab on Grade

This was one of the very first major projects undertaken in Australia using Helix Micro Rebar. The slab was designed at 150mm thick to carry 5 tonne point and live loads. Saw cuts were based  on traditional spacing. The slab was burnished to black with the use of ride-on helicopters. The finish was first-class.

An inspection of the slab 18 months after it was poured revealed no cracking and there was not a Helix fibre to be seen despite the people inspecting it getting down on their hands and knees.

The key to a great slab is good concrete, a good concreter, and Helix Micro Rebar.
