Unit Block – Hurstville, New South Wales

A Helix hybrid design was used for this suspended slab, which had a cantilevered edge on the unit that supported the four-metre high external double brick wall.  

The hybrid solution consisted of SL92 mesh top and bottom and 18kg/m³ of Helix Micro Rebar. 

The client saved three days of labour for steel fixing and Helix Micro Rebar significantly reduced the steel tonnage.
