Topping Slab – Noosa, Queensland

The client had installed a new suspended balcony that required a topping slab prior to the laying of tiles. The topping slab was 50 – 70mm thick.

The Helix solution was 15kg/m³ and provided a first crack strength increase of almost 50%. Due to the project being on the Noosa river the client was pleased that the Helix is zinc coated and thereby giving protection against rust and corrosion.

All the concrete was pumped through a 100mm boom pump.
