Project Name: Integrated Concrete Form (ICF) Walls
Industry: Residential Development - ICF Walls

The builder for this project contacted Helix after having problems with the horizontal bars in their ICF walling system.

The conventional design for the walls was N12-200 vertical, with N12-200 horizontal. This typical design was to be maintained over 4 levels for an apartment complex in Richmond, Melbourne.

The Helix Alternative Design retained the vertical bars, however, replaced all of the horizontal bars with just 10kg/m3 of Helix Micro Rebar. This greatly improved the ease of construction and also the flowability of the concrete when pumping, eliminating any chance of having hollow-sections within the walls.

The client was very impressed with the result and saved over 3 weeks in construction time of their project schedule.
