Anglo America Grosvenor Mine – Moranbah, Queensland

An access ramp was designed for 70 tonne forklift loads. Helix Micro Rebar was used to reduce the ramp slab thickness from 360mm to 320mm and replace 2 layers for N12 bars at 200 centres.  

The client was able to box the slab and pour with no other preparation required. This meant that one week of steel fixing was eliminated. The customer’s engineer has now specified Helix Micro Rebar in many heavier load slabs, foundations, pad footings and piles in this project.
