Helix Micro-Rebar came to Australia in 2009 and from small beginnings Helix Steel Australasia Pty Ltd, the sole distributor of the product in this region, now markets and supplies it in 20 countries including Australia, New Zealand and the Federated Pacific Islands of Micronesia and Melanesia.
The company operates through a network of carefully selected Agent organisations who are highly regarded and respected throughout their local market areas.
The take-up of Helix Micro-Rebar by the construction and mining industries has been profound. In addition, the product can now be found in many infrastructure, commercial, industrial and residential projects.
What sets Helix Micro-Rebar apart from every other type of reinforcement is that it transforms concrete from a traditional two-part system to a structural composite material consisting of concrete and reinforcement.
The Helix emulates the performance of structural rebar steel and can therefore be used to replace all other reinforcement in concrete including structural elements such as columns, piers, beams, structural wall panels and a range of industrial, mining and infrastructure applications.

International Accreditation Approves Helix as Alternative to Rebar & Wire Mesh
“Helix Steel recently earned IAPMO’s Uniform Evaluation Service (UES) Evaluation Report ER-279 on Helix 5-25 Micro-Rebar. This report accredits Helix Micro-Rebar 5-25 and its design method under ISO Guide 65 for use as an alternative to conventional rebar and wire mesh in concrete.
