Supa IGA Biloela – Polished Concrete Floor

Helix Micro Rebar was used by Hutchinson Builders in reinforce the floor slab of the Supa IGA in Biloela. Helix was specified by the design engineer RMA based in Toowoomba, Queensland.

The client required a high quality, easy maintenance and highly durable surface. A polished concrete floor was the preferred solution and Helix was selected to reinforce the concrete.

Using Helix allowed for faster construction time and a direct cost saving to the budget.  A further cost saving was provided by eliminating the need for a concrete pump.

The floor finish was perfect. Not a single crack was found upon review of the project 18 months after completion and there was not a single piece of Helix protruding the surface.

Some might even claim that Helix Micro Rebar provided an architectural finish.
