The client approached Helix Steel Australasia for an alternative design for the first floor Suspended Slab. The original design was a 200mm thick suspended slab with N12-200 EW top and bottom with additional sheer reinforcement throughout.  

Helix engineers designed an alternative 170mm thick Slab on Bondek (1.0mm) with 12kg/m³ of Helix Micro Rebar and only N12-200 2m long over the supporting walls in the top of the slab.
