A skate park in Victoria was originally specified at 150mm thick, reinforced with either N12s @ 200 each way, or SL92 mesh.
Helix replaced all the traditional reinforcement with a dosage of 10 kg/m3. The use of Micro-Rebar provided the usual cost savings, as well as a reduction in the construction time; thus a double cost saving to the Client.
The ramps were shotcreted, and the slabs were poured conventionally, resulting in a new hang-out for local skate enthusiasts.
